Paul has been a member of the Western Australian Police Force since March 1988. He currently holds the rank of Sergeant.
He has been an active member of the Western Australia Police Union (WAPU) for many years. Initially elected as an WAPU Executive Member for the Metropolitan Region, before being elected as WAPU Vice President in November 2018. He then served as WAPU’s Senior Vice-President from November 2021, before being elected WAPU President in June 2023.
Paul concurrently holds the WAPU position of 24/7 Emergency Director.
